Most times, finding natural cosmetics that are safe for acne-prone skin feels like finding for a needle in a haystack — frustrating and virtually impossible. So when I stumbled upon Ere Perez and their non-clogging ingredient list, I screamed with joy! Could this brand be the first to offer acne-safe, oil-free, & all-natural foundations?!Read More

Sometimes we might loose track of who we are, what we identify with, what we care for the most, but I believe that the realest parts of us never die.Read More
I had the honor of being invited to the launch of the BELIF's Pore Cleaner Line back in May, but it took me a few months to give the products an honest try. After all, new acne can take up to 8 weeks to develop, so I try to use the products for at least 2 months before making any final judgements. That being said, let me give you a gist of my conclusions regarding the Pore Cleaner Line — THE PRODUCTS ARE BOMB!Read More
September came creeping out of nowhere, and so did my nostalgia for 70s and 80s music. I don't know if it were the New York showers that we've been experiencing most of August or the unapologetic heat that caused this, but I'm craving all the cheesy vibes of the 80s. I've been listening to a lot of Sade and Chaka Khan lately – my parents played them a lot when I was younger, but for some reason I always classified their style as old people music and had no appreciation for their music genius. It is ironic that I began the process of rediscovering them just as I turned 24. I'm officially about to pass through my mid-twenties, and my mind is telling me something, ha-ha! In any case - I hope you enjoy this playlist and share some of this wonderful cheesiness with me.

July is usually the time of the year when I want to melt off the face of the Earth, but instead I spend my days gradually evaporating into space. It is torture, pals. Sadly, July is also the time of "the summer hustle" a.k.a. "you can't go on a vacation yet, wait until August" -- which forces me to stay in New York (at least this year). No wonder why I gravitate towards listening to a lot of surf rock (can't blame the girl for dreaming about being on the beach instead of running around in the city jungles). So this mixtape is dedicated to all of you who plan to waste the month away by dreaming of riding around LA in a red Ford Galaxie convertible and pretending to be productive.

For a frizz monster like me the idea of a moisturizing conditioner that cleanses hair without stripping it of moisture sounds like a dream come true. I've been on a hunt for a perfect cleansing conditioner for almost two years now, and I think I found the ultimate (and quite affordable) winner.Read More
No other brand makes me want to cry over spent dollar billz more than CHANEL.* It felt only natural to start out the Not Safe For Wallets series with it. I've been trying out different Chanel products for almost a decade, and, sadly, “money well spent” does not apply to all of my purchases. So to spare you from the traumatic experience of wasting your hard-earned guap on something that is not worth it, I thought I’d give you an honest review on the Chanel Beauty products I’ve tried so far.Read More
"Beauty takes sacrifice," my mother would tell the squirming 5 year-old me in an attempt to brush out painful knots out of my butt-long hair*. I cannot tell you how many times I've heard this Russian proverb throughout my lifetime... especially, when getting ready required some element of discomfort or straight up pain.
I guess one could argue that my love for horror movies and heavy metal stems from those traumatic experiences and the singular phrase that justifies it all. But today, at 23, I find myself finally understanding what it means.
